Dinner Party

What a week it has been! Jason came over for his final visit to Germany and we had a lot of fun seeing many new things. He arrived last Saturday and we were busy preparing for a special dinner on Sunday night. Two of our friends were coming over to have an ‘American’ meal. He did such a good job over the Christmas holiday on my mother’s meat loaf, that we decided to have that again. Along with it there was mac-n-cheese (from a box…very American), mashed potatoes, a fresh salad, and for dessert we had brownies with ice cream. It was VERY filling and VERY delicious! A last minute run to Liddl completed the meal as I picked up ketchup….can’t have meatloaf without ketchup! Ilona and Nguyet were so kind and gave us both antique Christmas ornaments from Ilona’s mother. This really made our day as we have searched all over Germany for ornaments. Ilona new of this interest as she had guided us in the direction of several antique stores!
