More of Hannover!

Deidra and I started our day by doing a little bit of recycling (aka....cleaning out plastic and glass bottles from my room)! We returned glass to some containers on the street, and then returned plastic to get 25 cents per bottle!

After doing our good, earth day deeds...we walked around looking at all of the little shops and such as we made our way back to the city center. Deidra has had fun looking at the different pharmacies! Once we got back to the center, we cut through the train station and went to Kaufland...which is German version of Wal-Mart.

After 'Wal-Mart' we had a lunch in the Old City, and then jumped the street back to the Town Hall. Here we went up to the top of the tower to look down over Hannover. It was a beautiful day....so the view was great!

The rest of the day was spent packing for our trip, and taking a walk around the gardens near my dormitory. We had a lot of fun throughout the day on several play grounds...and we got some good pics! The night was ended at a restaurant named Schweinskes...which had a lot of dishes from schwein (pig) and it was amazing!!! However, my most memorable part of the dinner is not of a pig...but of all the sour creamon the baked potato!

Now we are back at the dorm...and getting a little more ready for the rest of our trip. We leave at 6:26 in the morning for Nuremberg. There will be few or no posts as we probably won't have any internet access....but be watching next Sunday for updates!

Have a great weekend everyone, and a great week!

Dustin
