For our last day in Rome, Sarah and I headed up towards the Villa Borghese, which is a museum that has several famous Italian artist pieces. We saw paintings by Caravaggio and sculptures by Bernini. It was a peaceful time for us to walk around...enjoy the art, and talk about the fun times we had.
Before we went into the museum, we enjoyed a stroll around a park in which the museum was located. Here I saw many daffodils blooming in an Italian landscape. We also spent about an hour basking in the sun on the steps of an old structure in the park...the sun was so bright, and the weather so beautiful! It was sad to be leaving this wonderful weather to head back to cooler temperatures in Paris.
After the museum, finding our way back to the train station and enjoying lunch in the small town of Ciampiano, we made our way through the lines of Ryanair....and eventually back to Paris.
Seeing Sarah in Europe has truly been one of the highlights of my experience here...and one I will never forget! We always laugh about the things we do, and how every time we see each other, we pick up right where we left off. She is a great person and a wonderful friend!
